Included in our envelopes we received from RAGBRAI was a little paper “license plate”-like thing. Has a space for your name, where you’re from, and how many RAGBRAIs have you ridden. The main idea of having it is for a “conversation starter.” (“Oh, hey, I see you’re here from The Seven Circles of Hell, Kansas! and you’re a RAGBRAI virgin! So what’d you think of that last big-ass hill we had to climb?”)

A gent was walking his bicycle past this young lady. On his license plate was his name, his city, and the two letter abbreviation for Alberta, Canada.

She chirped enthusiastically, “Did you really drive all the way from Alabama?”

Is there a Greenbow, Alberta?  Did you know this guy named Gump?
